This months focus: Online Video Resouces

Since sites such as youtube are blocked at school, I have come up with this list of video sites that aren't blocked at school. My challenge to you: find a clip or two that you can use in your class and develop a lesson around that video clip. Once you do that come back here and share what you have done on the discussion page.

How to of the Month: Downloading Youtube Clips

Even though youtube is blocked at school, that doesn't mean you can't use it. What you have to do is download the video clip at home and bring it to school. It is very easy, here are the steps:

  1. Go to: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/free-dvd-video-software.htm
  2. Download the program
  3. Run it
  4. Type in the YouTube URL (the web address of the video clip)
  5. Wait for it to download
  6. Once the download is complete, you will need to either burn the video to a cd, or put it on a flash drive.
